About the role#
The Information Desk Attendant acts as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the Bryan campus. You will work in the Administration Building to provide information, directions, and support. This position is a part-time student worker role that requires approximately 15 hours of work per week, scheduled between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and provide a welcoming environment.
- Give accurate directions to offices and campus buildings.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls.
- Help individuals use the college website, online directories, and campus maps.
- Complete clerical tasks for the Prospective Student Relations office.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student and eligibility for Federal Work Study funding.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and polite when helping others.
- Punctuality and dependability.
- Experience in customer service, reception, or administrative support is preferred.
- Familiarity with campus layouts and departmental structures is helpful.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

- Location: Bryan, Texas.
- Schedule: Up to 15 hours per week, scheduled around your classes.
- Term: Rolling, semester by semester.
