About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the renewable energy construction industry. Interns work on-site at utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027 lasting 12 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Support the collection of daily production and safety data.
- Help coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
- Assist with project equipment management and inventory, including tools and materials.
- Attend weekly meetings with engineers, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
- Engage in field activities to gain experience with craft positions.
- Assist in preparing agendas for daily and monthly meetings, such as the Plan of the Day and Monthly Managers Meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, landowners, and team members.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in construction management, engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial), or a related field.
- Ability to relocate to the assigned construction project site for the 12-week duration.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
- Comfort working in environments with exposure to dirt, heat, noise, dust, and trailer office conditions.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio).
- Ability to organize tasks, prioritize work, and demonstrate independent motivation.
