About the role#
Blanchard Machinery is hiring an Ag Technician intern to participate in a two-year program focused on the fundamentals of agricultural equipment service. This position combines classroom instruction with hands-on work at the dealership to prepare you for a career as a certified service technician.
What you'll do#
- Complete two years of instructor-led classroom and lab training at a John Deere Tech School.
- Finish at least two internships at the dealership.
- Assist senior technicians with daily service tasks.
- Learn to remove, disassemble, and recondition machine components.
- Perform pre-delivery set-up and inspections on new equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area and document your time and materials used on jobs.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trains, air-conditioning, and electrical systems.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. repeatedly.
- Interest in the repair of agricultural and outdoor power equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively with customers and staff.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in South Carolina.
- You must maintain the minimum GPA required by your specific John Deere Tech School program.
