About the role#
Black & Veatch is hiring an Estimating Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will work on infrastructure projects, contributing to data analysis and project planning while gaining hands-on experience in the engineering services industry.
What you'll do#
- Calculate project costs based on collected data and engineering analysis.
- Review reports, maps, blueprints, drawings, and equipment specifications to determine construction and procurement costs.
- Create preliminary layouts and project plans.
- Conduct special studies and analyses for specific project components.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program or an accredited Construction Management program.
- Ability to complete all pre-employment onboarding requirements.
