About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Logistics team. This role provides an opportunity to learn about the transportation industry and gain practical experience within our brokerage operations. You will work with our team to manage shipments and build relationships with our partner carriers.
What you'll do#
- Track shipments in real-time using GPS tools.
- Support brokers and staff with daily tasks.
- Call drivers and dispatch to confirm shipment status updates.
- Monitor and record events in our operating systems.
- Identify route deviations or delays and escalate them as needed.
- Process shipment updates and provide status reports to stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
- Handle general administrative duties.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an 8-month co-op program.
- Current enrollment in a Commerce, Management, or Business Administration degree.
- Availability to join from May to December 2026.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn complex software.
- A focus on results, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and build relationships.
- Customer service skills and a desire to learn.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 start date, with full-time in-office availability required (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00). Potential for flexible part-time hours during the school year.
