About the role#
The Recruitment Coordinator Intern supports the daily coordination and administration of recruitment activities for our teams in Canada and the United States. You will work with the Manager, Recruitment and HR Enablement to maintain organized, timely, and positive hiring processes. This role is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Kitchener, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Post approved job advertisements to the ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms.
- Manage candidate records, application statuses, interview notes, and hiring documentation.
- Conduct phone-screen interviews and document candidate responses.
- Coordinate interview schedules, assessments, and candidate meetings.
- Send interview confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications.
- Communicate rejections to candidates.
- Monitor recruitment inboxes and direct inquiries.
- Support pre-employment verification and reference checks.
- Prepare candidate profiles, scorecards, and interview schedules.
- Maintain recruitment trackers, pipelines, and offer-status reports.
- Assist with collecting recruitment metrics and data-cleanup activities.
- Review resumes against minimum qualifications.
- Support campus recruitment, career fairs, and hiring events.
- Assist with SWPP applications and co-op placement tracking.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Eligibility to complete a formal co-op or work-integrated learning term.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct structured phone-screen interviews confidently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, recruitment, or HR is an asset.
- Experience with an applicant tracking system or HRIS is an asset.
- Proficiency in using AI and automation tools is an asset.
