About the role#
Binnie is hiring Civil Engineering Assistant coop students for the Development Group in Burnaby and Langley. You will work with project managers, designers, and engineers on road and utility improvements, stormwater management, and erosion control for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This is a paid, full-time position for the Winter 2027 term, with a potential extension through Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Modify basic design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Plot, assemble, and deliver drawing submission packages.
- Prepare project documentation for hard copy and electronic file transfers.
- Maintain file naming and layer management conventions.
- Complete field assignments as required by project managers.
- Perform quality control procedures.
- Prepare and update as-constructed field record drawings.
What you'll need#
- Currently completing a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Previous work experience in a civil engineering environment.
- Exposure to AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- A valid driver license and a personal vehicle for site visits.
- Willingness to work outdoors on-site as required.
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work consistently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.

- Compensation: $25 to $27 per hour.
