About the role#
This internship offers a chance to build practical AI solutions that improve reporting, automation, and access to business information. You will work with the CIO and the IT team to develop AI agents and copilots that turn business questions into insights. This position is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and is a paid, full-time role.
What you'll do#
- Build AI agents, copilots, and automated workflows.
- Connect AI solutions to approved databases, APIs, documents, spreadsheets, and business systems.
- Develop solutions for technology budget management and reporting.
- Create prompts, workflows, and agent logic to improve accuracy.
- Analyze data to ensure it is AI ready.
- Prototype and test AI use cases for business and operational needs.
- Validate solutions for accuracy, reliability, data quality, security, and responsible AI use.
- Document solutions, data sources, prompts, integrations, and test results.
- Collaborate with the programming team to implement use cases.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, AI, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience or coursework involving Generative AI, AI agents, or data analytics.
- Familiarity with Copilot Studio, Claude, Azure AI, Power Automate, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, databases, spreadsheets, Python, or data integration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Interest in AI governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and responsible AI.
- Experience with Power BI, RAG/enterprise search, financial reporting, or AI testing is preferred.
