Student Care Coordinator

About the role#

Bethel University is seeking a part-time Student Care Coordinator to join the Student Life team. This role supports traditional undergraduate students as they navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges of college life. Working alongside the Associate Dean for Student Care, Resident Directors, and Deans, you will help transform early alerts into actionable plans for student success. This is a 10-month position, running from August through May.

What you'll do#

• Manage a caseload of low to mid-level student care cases involving academic, social, and emotional concerns.
• Serve as the intake coordinator and primary contact for early alert referrals.
• Participate in weekly student care and conduct meetings, and hold individual case management meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to address student care needs, crisis intervention, and resource referrals.
• Manage and maintain student care systems and files, including tracking and archiving case information.
• Assist in developing care protocols, wellness initiatives, and case management assessment tools.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds and respond with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact tactfully with students, families, faculty, and staff.
• Ability to handle confidential information and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.

• Location: St. Paul, Minnesota.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Schedule: Part-time, averaging 20 hours per week (August through May).
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: Paid position at $20.00 per hour.
