About the role#
BCAA is hiring a Financial Analyst Co-Op Student for the Winter 2027 term. Based at our Burnaby head office, this full-time role sits within our Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to the financial analysis and reporting that inform our business decisions. You will work under the mentorship of experienced finance professionals, applying your academic knowledge to real-world situations.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Senior Financial Analysts to interpret data and develop business insights.
- Perform financial and strategic analysis, including actual-to-budget comparisons, KPI reviews, and trend analysis.
- Use financial systems and tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data.
- Support data validation and reconciliation to ensure information is accurate.
- Present your work through written analysis, formal presentations, and team discussions.
- Contribute to process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance Operations, and other internal teams.
- Complete other related tasks and projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program focused on commerce, business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Up to one year of relevant experience or exposure in finance or accounting.
- An interest in financial modeling, analysis, and creating clear presentations from data.
- Exposure to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or other financial analysis software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize time, and work independently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and clarify instructions and expectations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A curious mindset, willingness to learn, and comfort asking questions.

- Location: Burnaby, British Columbia.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with a salary range of $25.70 to $32.12 per hour, plus eligibility for a performance bonus.
