About the role#
We are hiring a Canola Seed Production Research Summer Associate to join our Agriculture Solutions team in Lethbridge, Alberta. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for the summer of 2027. You will work with the Certified Seed Supply team to support our research and production goals.
What you'll do#
- Participate in plot and field scale trials.
- Help evaluate new methods for seed canola production.
- Improve and optimize systems that affect seed quality and yield.
- Manage field activities and collect data across multiple sites in Southern Alberta.
- Execute agronomic practices, including planting, spraying, crop synchronization, mowing, harvesting, and sample processing.
What you'll need#
- Agronomic knowledge gained through a degree in Agriculture or a related program.
- A valid class 5 Driver's license.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to adjust plans as situations arise.
- Experience with farm equipment is highly desired.
