About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our team in Winnipeg for the 2027 summer season. This is a 4-month, full-time, paid position. Please note that students are hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency, Raise Recruiting.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
- Manage trial activities ranging from commercial scale to small plots, including seed set up, land preparation, seeding, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees as needed.
- Travel regularly within the region for field scouting.
- Diagnose crop health through daily monitoring of research plots, along with collecting and analyzing data.
What you'll need#
- Strong agronomic competence gained through a degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- Previous experience in the agriculture industry.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to deliver results while working toward individual and team goals.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adjust plans as field conditions change.
- Prior experience in agriculture field research is considered an asset.

- Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 4 months (Summer 2027).
- Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour, with overtime pay for evenings or weekends during peak periods.
