About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon. This is a full-time, paid summer position for the 2027 season. Please note that students are hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials with the local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
- Assist with the full cycle of field trial activities from seeding to harvest. This includes land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and supervising casual employees.
- Travel regularly within your local region to perform field scouting and crop health diagnosis.
- Monitor research plots daily and handle data collection and analysis.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture or a related field and have strong agronomic competence.
- You have experience working in the agriculture industry.
- You have a valid driver's license.
- You possess strong attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.
- You can adapt to changing plans while maintaining your focus on results.
- Previous experience in agriculture field research and familiarity with agriculture equipment are considered assets.
