About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Winnipeg. This is a full-time, paid summer position for 2027. Please note that students are hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency, Raise Recruiting.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials for local Agronomic Excellence programs to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
- Assist with field trial activities ranging from commercial scale to small plots.
- Handle seed set up, land preparation, seeding, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees as needed.
- Travel regularly within the region for field scouting.
- Monitor research plots daily to diagnose crop health and perform data collection and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Strong agronomic competence gained through a degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- Previous experience in the agriculture industry.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to deliver results for both individual and team goals.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to modify plans as situations arise.
- Previous experience in agriculture field research is preferred.

- Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 6 months).
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour, with overtime pay for evenings or weekends during peak periods.
