About the role#
This is a PRN position involving variable shifts at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville. The role allows students to perform respiratory care procedures for which they have received training under the supervision of a respiratory therapist or technician.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine respiratory care procedures as defined by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.
- Support respiratory therapists and technicians in providing patient care.
- Assist in the maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an approved Respiratory Care program, validated by an official transcript.
- Completion of at least six months of didactic training in a respiratory program with a passing grade.
- Valid state license as a student from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
