About the role#
Banterra Bank is seeking a Facilities Management Intern to support the maintenance and operations of a multi-location bank portfolio. This role offers hands-on experience in project coordination, data analysis, and space planning. Interns will work under a mentorship framework, engaging with various departments and traveling to area branch locations to assist with facility assessments and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the facilities team to gain an understanding of operations and management.
- Contribute to special projects through research, meeting participation, and project tracking.
- Organize records, track maintenance requests, and maintain facility-related data in Excel.
- Assist in coordinating facilities projects across branch and office locations.
- Conduct structured assessments of branch locations to build a centralized facilities database.
- Create and maintain a centralized inventory of facility assets and property characteristics.
- Compile historical data and prepare reports or presentations for senior leadership.
- Perform light physical tasks as needed, such as moving items or assembling furniture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Business Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Minimum Junior or beyond collegiate standing.
- Basic knowledge of facilities management, construction, architecture, design, or business operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and appropriate insurance coverage for regular travel.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

- Commitment: Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week.
