Commercial Banking Intern

About the role#

The Commercial Banking Intern will learn the fundamentals of Credit Administration and support day-to-day operations through a 12-week program. This internship offers exposure to various departments, including commercial lending, credit analysis, treasury management, and retail operations, under a mentorship framework.

What you'll do#

• Work with Administrative and Commercial Lending team members to gain exposure to loan analysis, underwriting, approval, lending, retail, and treasury management.
• Assist in loan presentation and the development of commercial loan structures.
• Research current business and industry trends.
• Participate in joint customer sales calling efforts.
• Travel to different business lines of the bank to gain broader operational exposure.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Finance.
• Completion of at least two years of college coursework.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in a professional office environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds for a distance of 50 feet.

Location & details#

• Location: Evansville, Indiana.
• Term: Summer 2026 (mid-May through mid-August).
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time, less than 30 hours per week, with flexible hours based on class schedule.
• Compensation: Paid at $20 per hour.
