About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our Lending Division. You will work in one of our 22 communities to gain a practical understanding of bank policies, procedures, and regulations. This program is designed for students interested in a career in relationship management. You will work alongside bank staff and an intern mentor to develop your business acumen.
What you'll do#
- Work closely with Relationship Managers to learn the full loan origination process, from business development and credit analysis to underwriting and funding.
- Participate in business development meetings with prospective and existing clients.
- Attend loan committee meetings and prepare a credit presentation to present to the committee.
- Support Loan Assistants by preparing loan documents and handling administrative tasks such as data entry, correspondence, and filing.
- Interact with internal and external business clients and Senior Leadership.
- Complete assigned projects and participate in credit analysis training.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited 2-year junior college or 4-year university as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership through school or community activities.

- Prior cash handling or client experience is preferred.

- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks).

- Note: This is a paid internship. Occasional travel between bank locations is required.
