About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. You will work on projects, participate in team meetings, and receive coaching from a manager and a buddy. The role focuses on understanding the systems and practices used to meet customer needs through production execution.
What you'll do#
- Assist with day-to-day manufacturing operations, including monitoring equipment and overseeing processes.
- Ensure production goals are met.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance by inspecting products for defects and verifying they meet specifications.
- Collect and analyze data regarding equipment performance and product quality.
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
- Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste.
- Prepare reports, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards in all tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, a STEM field, or a business-related program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.0.
- Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
- Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
