About the role#
Baird’s Corporate Accounting and Finance team provides financial information to support firm management and strategic decision-making. As an intern, you will apply your academic knowledge to professional tasks and contribute to the success of the department. This is a year-round internship, requiring full-time hours during the summer and part-time hours during the school semesters.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the monthly close process, including journal entries, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
- Compile financial information for internal and external reporting.
- Prepare operational reports and presentations.
- Maintain and document policies and procedures.
- Assist with training other interns and complete assigned special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a business-related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
Location & details#
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Availability: Must be able to work full-time (37.5-40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time (15-20 hours per week) during school semesters.
- Start Date: April or May 2027.
