About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in business management and recruiting at the Kansas City Airport rental operation. You will learn to manage daily business activities while taking an active role in hiring and developing staff. The position is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in operations, leadership, or recruiting who want to prepare for future front-line management roles.
What you'll do#
- Assist with sourcing, reviewing resumes, and interviewing candidates for open positions.
- Support the onboarding process and new employee orientation.
- Help maintain staffing levels and build relationships with local recruiting sources.
- Assist with daily rental counter operations and customer service.
- Monitor vehicle inventory and operational needs.
- Ensure staff follow company policies and service standards.
- Help resolve day-to-day operational issues and manage staff scheduling.
- Work with management to train employees and promote a productive team environment.
- Develop leadership skills and learn how management decisions impact business performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a bachelor's or associate degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working with people.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background and employment screening requirements.
