AutoZone 2026 Summer Internship – Store Development

About the role#

This 10-week, full-time paid internship provides hands-on experience within the corporate retail industry. You will work on the store development life cycle, covering site selection, pre-construction tasks, construction, and the optimization of retail store layouts. This role is designed to offer professional development through cross-functional job shadowing, 1-on-1 mentorship, and workshops.

What you'll do#

• Support the planning, execution, and optimization of store development initiatives.
• Contribute to shaping the future of AutoZone's retail presence and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at a college or university for the Summer 2026 term (June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026). Students graduating before June 1, 2026, are not eligible.
• Academic background in Architecture, Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Geography, Municipal Planning, Engineering, or Business Analytics.
• Proficiency in presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Alteryx, GIS, and AutoCad is highly preferred.

• Location: Memphis, Tennessee.
• Duration: Summer 2026 (June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026).
• Work Modality: On-site. Interns must be able to live in Memphis for a minimum of two months. Relocation support is available for non-local students.
