AutoZone 2026 Summer Internship – Data Science

About the role#

This 10-week, full-time summer internship provides a hands-on experience within the corporate retail industry. Interns will work on data science projects across various departments, contributing to the enhancement of business operations and the customer experience. The program includes cross-functional job shadowing, 1-on-1 mentorship, and professional development workshops.

What you'll do#

• Collect, clean, and prepare large data sets for analysis.
• Apply statistical and machine learning algorithms to data.
• Analyze large datasets and develop predictive models.
• Collaborate with departments to solve business challenges.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment as a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student during the summer of 2026 (June 1–August 7, 2026).
• Academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, or Statistics.
• Proficiency in technical languages and tools, including Python, R, SQL, Java, Tableau, and Alteryx.

Location & details#

• Location: Memphis, Tennessee.
• Term: Summer 2026 (June 1–August 7, 2026).
• Modality: On-site. Interns must be able to live in Memphis for at least two months. Relocation support is available for non-local students who do not have family housing in the area or whose school is not located in Memphis.
• Compensation: This is a paid, full-time internship.
