About the role#
Auld & White Constructors is hiring Field Construction Interns to work on commercial projects throughout Northeast Florida. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the day-to-day operations of a construction site. This role offers exposure to project management processes, industry standards, and hands-on construction practices.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Superintendent with daily on-site activities, including subcontractor scheduling, material deliveries, and equipment logistics.
- Monitor construction quality to ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Participate in safety meetings and site inspections to help maintain a safe working environment.
- Document project progress through daily logs, photographs, and reports.
- Support the coordination of subcontractor activities and help address project issues.
- Attend meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate project updates and resolutions to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Building Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- An eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to the team.
