About the role#
The Talent Acquisition Intern supports our team in identifying and engaging talent for Athena. You will gain hands-on experience in the full recruitment cycle, from initial job postings to the final onboarding of new hires. This role focuses on helping our team maintain efficient processes while ensuring a positive experience for every candidate.
What you'll do#
- Post job openings across job boards, social media, and internal platforms.
- Research and identify potential candidates using LinkedIn and other databases.
- Screen resumes and share qualified candidates with hiring managers.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and our teams.
- Manage candidate communication, including confirmation emails and follow-ups.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment spreadsheets.
- Assist with background verification and prepare offer letters or welcome materials.
- Support recruitment marketing efforts to build our employer brand.
- Provide general administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- A strong interest in recruitment, HR, and talent management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- A 6 to 12 month commitment.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.

- This is an unpaid, on-site internship located in New York, NY.
- You will work from our office at 33 West 60th Street, Suite 600.
- This role requires a full-time commitment.
- The position is available on a rolling basis.
