The Financial Management Program Internship provides accounting, business systems, and financial reporting support to scientists, engineers, and various organizations across the laboratory. This role facilitates accurate payments to employees and suppliers and assists with the appropriate allocation of funding and project costs.
What you'll do#
- Use the Workday enterprise reporting platform to monitor laboratory expenses and revenues.
- Conduct cost analysis and financial reconciliation using Microsoft Excel.
- Collaborate with financial professionals to collect information and resolve financial issues.
- Develop process documentation using standard Microsoft Word templates.
- Assist with audit support, track communications, and support the transition to paperless record retention.
What you'll need#
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution, having completed at least one semester of schooling.
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate academics in a business program with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Academic focus in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Data Analysis.
- Strong math aptitude, logical processing skills, and excellent written and oral communication.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Lemont, Illinois, or remote.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Term: Rolling.
- Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Offers are contingent upon a background check and a screening drug test. This position may require obtaining government access authorization.
