About the role#
ARCO/Murray is hiring Project Manager Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site role in Lakewood, Colorado, allows you to manage project performance and costs from the start. You will work alongside experienced staff to gain hands-on experience in the construction process.
What you'll do#
- Estimate project proposals and assign dollar values.
- Create working timelines for subcontractors.
- Attend design meetings with owners and the project team.
- Manage the buyout process by sending bid instructions, schedules, and drawings to subcontractors.
- Evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
- Review subcontractor drawings and communicate upcoming work requirements.
- Manage subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
- Monitor project cost status.
- Visit jobsites to work with Project Superintendents.
- Attend weekly training sessions on building trades and business operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program for Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
- Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

- Compensation: Paid internship with an hourly rate between $27.00 and $28.00 depending on experience and academic level.
- Additional benefits include overtime eligibility, one-on-one mentorship, a structured training program, potential for a term-end discretionary bonus, a relocation stipend for those living outside the market, and a $5,000 bonus if you join full-time after graduation.
