About the role#
This 8-week summer internship provides an introduction to the insurance industry. You will work alongside professionals in the specialty insurance field to develop your skills and explore career paths. The program includes education sessions, networking, and team building activities.
What you'll do#
- Participate in education sessions to gain exposure to all aspects of property facultative underwriting.
- Receive hands-on training with Underwriters and the Assistant Underwriting team through observation and application.
- Learn internal underwriting systems, processes, and account set up procedures.
- Support the team by conducting research and providing information to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with other interns on group activities and contribute to an end-of-program capstone project.
- Travel to other office locations for training, marketing, and company events as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior student with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Actively pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Economics, Business Administration, Communications, or a relevant program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Location: Farmington, CT.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 2 to July 23, 2027).
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
