About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain experience within the Operations Department at Arbella Insurance Group, specifically within Customer Service or the Claim Service Center. The program includes classroom training, on-the-job training, and mentorship. Interns will handle general customer inquiries via inbound phone calls, assist with the distribution of work, and participate in job shadowing to learn about various areas of operations. This is a full-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Communicate effectively with customers, agents, third parties, and vendors across multiple channels.
- Use care and compassion to guide customers through billing, policy, and claim-related inquiries.
- Research and analyze policy, billing, and claim activity to identify solutions for customer concerns.
- Collaborate with independent agents and internal teams to escalate urgent issues using sound judgment.
- Build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders while delivering service.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support department goals, including diversity and inclusion efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with high activity volume.
- Sound technical aptitude and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A desire for potential permanent employment if the internship is a good fit.
