Culinary Supervisor Intern

About the role#

The Culinary Supervisor Intern will support kitchen operations by balancing food preparation duties with staff supervision. This role involves maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and customer service in a professional hospitality environment.

What you'll do#

• Schedule and assign daily tasks to staff while supervising their completion.
• Train and guide team members on job duties, cooking methods, and safety procedures.
• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and production guidelines.
• Set up workstations, measure ingredients, and operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and slicers.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment to meet safety standards.
• Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Manage production records and ensure the security of company assets.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program, specifically Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Environmental Engineering.
• Previous experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Current food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills for inventory and production tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking.
