Catering Services Supervisor Intern

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience in the supervision, training, and management of food service operations. The role focuses on ensuring food safety, quality, and operational efficiency within a catering environment.

What you'll do#

• Direct daily activities and maintain work schedules.
• Prepare production records and manage weekly inventory according to departmental policies.
• Supervise and evaluate staff to promote growth, teamwork, and efficiency.
• Ensure all food items are stored, prepared, and served according to safety and health codes.
• Coordinate orders with vendors to maintain an efficient, cost-effective program.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Nursing, or Public Health.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress and resolve interpersonal situations.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding verbal instructions.
• Completion of a sanitation course is required either before or during the first year as a lead.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
