About the role#
Ara builds systems to make agent-assisted engineering reliable, from the first prompt to a verified pull request. As an intern, you will own product, runtime, and production systems. You will turn early ideas into dependable software with high autonomy. You will work across the product surface and the infrastructure behind long-running autonomous agent work.
What you'll do#
- Build clear, dependable agent-assisted product experiences.
- Design and run the systems behind long-running agent work.
- Work directly with users to turn rough workflows into finished products.
- Raise the bar for quality, testing, verification, and operations.
What you'll need#
- Experience shipping substantial product or platform systems.
- Ability to move comfortably between product, frontend, and backend.
- A focus on building dependable products rather than just demos.
- Clear communication skills and an interest in navigating hard trade-offs.
- Enrollment in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in tools such as PostgreSQL, React, Rust, TypeScript, Distributed Systems, LLMs, and AI Agents.
