About the role#
The Quality Engineering Intern supports the Quality Engineering team in managing warranty analysis processes. You will work with Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions. This role focuses on cost management, accurate reporting, and resolving warranty issues.
What you'll do#
- Learn customer warranty procedures and monitor portals for claims.
- Review claims to identify specific problems.
- Participate in warranty returns, testing, and root cause analysis using problem solving tools.
- Work with engineering teams to implement design or manufacturing changes.
- Maintain records of investigations and resolutions.
- Analyze data and trends to identify risks.
- Identify and communicate inappropriately charged warranty costs.
- Collaborate with finance and customer service teams to track costs and support claims reconciliation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering degree program.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Automotive industry knowledge is preferred.
