About the role#
The Production Control and Logistics Intern will support the Advanced PCL team in Troy, Michigan. You will assist in improving business strategies and documenting key processes. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. You will gain experience in solving real business problems and presenting your findings to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Support the Advanced PCL team with business strategy improvements and process documentation.
- Re-deploy the PCL RASIC chart.
- Create a documented Scope of Work for areas where processes are currently missing.
- Conduct an MRP SAP parameter overview and analyze metrics to improve internal customer service, cost, and delivery.
- Engage in professional communication and reporting.
- Build and present a business case to decision makers to address obstacles or implement improvements.
- Deliver a final cornerstone project presentation to senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Communications, or Finance.
- A demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A resourceful nature, comfortable working both as a team player and independently.
- Experience in automotive or industrial goods is a plus, as is domain expertise in wire harnesses or connectors.
