About the role#
As a Compiler Team Intern, you will work with software engineers on real development projects. You will join the engineering team to participate in daily Scrum activities and collaborate on technical tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in low-level systems programming and professional software development processes.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to real engineering projects, including bug fixes, enhancements, and software improvements.
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings and Agile development activities.
- Develop, test, and maintain software components with your team.
- Use Linux/Unix command-line tools and shell scripting for daily tasks.
- Apply software engineering best practices, including source control management with Git.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Familiarity with Python and Bash/Shell scripting.
- Experience working in Linux or Unix command-line environments.
- Exposure to low-level systems programming concepts.
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals and development practices.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices is a plus.
- Coursework or exposure related to compilers, assembly language, operating systems, or low-level computer architecture is highly desirable.
- Previous internship, programming competition, or hands-on software project experience is a plus.
