About the role#
Applied Materials is seeking interns for our Global Supply Chain department for the summer of 2027. This is a 12-week, full-time internship based in Austin, Texas. You will work alongside Supplier Account Managers and Procurement Managers to support supplier selection, material delivery, and supply chain analytics.
What you'll do#
- Complete supplier request for quotations (RFQs).
- Create, re-schedule, and cancel purchase orders based on material requirements planning.
- Perform part analytics to ensure components are assigned to the correct commodity family.
- Provide material delivery updates directly to factory stakeholders and leadership.
- Mitigate excess purchase orders and inventory through direct negotiations with suppliers.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- You maintain good academic standing, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- You possess strong data analytics skills, including advanced Excel and experience working with multiple data sets.
- You have the ability to solve problems both creatively and analytically.
