About the role#
Join the Applied Global Services Strategic Operations and Business Analytics team for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work on high-impact initiatives with exposure to leadership. This role focuses on business process improvement, supply chain optimization, and operational excellence. You will tackle real business challenges and help develop recommendations that drive measurable value within a global service organization.
What you'll do#
- Analyze business processes to find ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to generate actionable insights.
- Build dashboards, reports, and presentations for executive-level review.
- Work with stakeholders in operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, and service departments.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to support strategic business initiatives.
- Join project meetings to help develop and carry out process improvement solutions.
- Document business requirements, processes, and project outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university program and returning to school after the internship.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large data sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- An interest in operations, supply chain, data analytics, or business strategy.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or related disciplines is preferred.
