About the role#
Applied Materials is seeking an MBA student for a finance internship during the summer of 2027. Based in Santa Clara, California, this role integrates you into the finance team to provide financial analytics and investment decision support. Over the course of 8 to 10 weeks, you will work on projects that help the organization drive executive decision making regarding key business issues.
What you'll do#
- Lead or contribute to projects focused on executive decision making for key business issues.
- Perform financial modeling, ROI analysis, scenario planning, and portfolio prioritization.
- Support core finance functions including planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Drive the strategic direction of your group to execute on business unit and corporate priorities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MBA with a graduation date in 2027.
- 4 to 7 years of prior work experience in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience using AI and Data Analytics to improve financial processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work as a proactive self-starter both independently and within a team.
