About the role#
Applied Materials is seeking an MBA student for a finance internship during the summer of 2027. Based in Austin, Texas, this role is integrated into the Financial Planning and Analysis team. You will support the worldwide operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product development organizations by providing financial analytics and investment decision support.
What you'll do#
- Lead one or more projects to help the finance organization drive executive decision making regarding key business issues.
- Support the business through the integration into the finance team.
- Drive process efficiency and improve scalability.
- Manage company-wide costing council and commonality across all segments.
- Drive the strategic direction of the group to execute on business unit and corporate strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with a graduation date in 2027.
- Four to seven years of prior work experience in finance or accounting is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience using AI and data analytics to improve financial processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
