About the role#
Applied Materials is seeking an MBA intern to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team for the summer of 2027. This role is based in Austin, Texas, and focuses on providing financial analytics and investment decision support for the worldwide operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product development organizations. You will be integrated into the finance team to support business objectives through project-based work.
What you'll do#
- Lead one or more projects designed to help the finance organization drive executive decision making regarding key business issues.
- Support the business through direct integration with the finance team.
- Improve process efficiency and scalability.
- Facilitate the company-wide costing council and drive commonality across all segments.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the group to execute on business unit and corporate strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with an expected graduation date in 2027.
- 4-7 years of prior work experience in finance or accounting is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience using AI and data analytics to improve financial processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
