About the role#
Applied Materials is seeking an MBA student for a finance internship during the summer of 2027. You will join the Financial Planning and Analysis team in Austin, Texas. This team provides financial analytics and investment decision support for the Worldwide Operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product development organizations. You will participate in an 8 to 10 week program that includes training, social events, and meetings with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Complete one or more projects to help the finance organization guide executive decision making on key business issues.
- Support the business by integrating directly into the finance team.
- Improve process efficiency and scalability.
- Assist with the company-wide costing council and drive commonality across all segments.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the group to execute on business unit and corporate strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program with an expected graduation date in 2027.
- 4 to 7 years of prior work experience in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience using AI and Data Analytics to improve financial processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as a proactive self-starter both independently and within teams.
