About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2026 term. You will join the engineering team at Applied Materials to contribute to projects involving physics-based AI modeling within the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Define and implement Physics-AI workflows.
- Execute complex simulations.
- Develop and apply algorithms for physics-AI modeling applications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's or PhD program in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with Multiphysics modeling, physics-AI workflows, and related algorithms.
- Familiarity with Python libraries including Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
