The Anthropic Fellows Program in ML Systems & Performance is a 4-month, full-time research initiative designed to foster technical talent. Fellows work on empirical projects aligned with research priorities, often with the goal of producing public outputs such as research papers. Participants engage in a project selection and mentor matching process to collaborate closely with Anthropic researchers.
What you'll do#
- Conduct full-time research for a 4-month term.
- Execute an empirical project related to ML systems and performance, such as building CPU simulators, developing accelerator backends, or creating synthetic data pipelines.
- Collaborate across research and engineering disciplines.
- Communicate project progress and findings clearly with team members.
What you'll need#
- A strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics.
- Fluency in Python programming.
- Proven software engineering skills with experience building complex ML systems.
- Experience in research or engineering areas relevant to the ML Systems & Performance workstream.
- Ability to commit to full-time work for the duration of the 4-month program.
Location & details#
- Modality: Remote-friendly, with optional shared workspace access in San Francisco, California, or London, UK.
- Eligibility: Candidates must already possess full-time work authorization in the United States, Canada, or the UK. Sponsorship is not provided for this program.
- Term: Rolling applications for 4-month, full-time cohorts.
