About the role#
As a Product Designer Intern, you will join our team to help shape software experiences for autonomous and command and control systems. You will work on software that has real-world impact by collaborating with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to define and solve complex problems. This position is a 12-week, full-time, in-person internship taking place in summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Define user experiences based on product goals and customer needs.
- Own a feature or workflow end-to-end, covering discovery, design, prototyping, and implementation with engineers.
- Present your design concepts to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
- Hone your visual and interaction design skills, including the use of typography, color, iconography, and layout.
- Participate in an iterative design process that leads to deployment for our users.
- Work with your manager to improve your design communication and presentation skills.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Design or a related field.
- Must be returning to school after the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
- Ability to work on-site for 12 weeks in summer 2027.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information. U.S. clearance eligibility may be required.
- Familiarity with Figma for design and prototyping.
- Experience with 3D visualization.
- A bias for action, a desire for continuous learning, and a mission-oriented mindset.
