    About the role#

    Anduril Industries is seeking Electrical Engineer Co-ops for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, in-person internship. You will work on-site at one of our offices in Costa Mesa, California, or Quincy, Massachusetts. The internship duration is 16 to 24 weeks.

    What you'll do#

    • Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, PCB design, and system level integration.
    • Develop low-level firmware and software for microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems.
    • Create supporting development and testing tools.
    • Troubleshoot complex issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment like oscilloscopes and DMMs, alongside software debugging tools.
    • Collaborate with mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver functional products.
    • Support new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware.
    • Manage your involvement in multiple projects at various stages concurrently.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • You must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
    • Status as a U.S. Person, as this role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
    • Proficiency with C/C++ and experience with common languages such as Python, Rust, or Haskell.
    • Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools.
    • Familiarity with standard interfaces including Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB.
    • Familiarity with embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, and basic Unix/Linux tools.
    • Experience with test equipment like logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and test automation.
    • Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, GitHub, and JIRA.
    • Exceptional organization and communication skills.
