About the role#
Anduril Industries is seeking Electrical Engineer Co-ops for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, in-person internship. You will work on-site at one of our offices in Costa Mesa, California, or Quincy, Massachusetts. The internship duration is 16 to 24 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, PCB design, and system level integration.
- Develop low-level firmware and software for microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems.
- Create supporting development and testing tools.
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment like oscilloscopes and DMMs, alongside software debugging tools.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver functional products.
- Support new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware.
- Manage your involvement in multiple projects at various stages concurrently.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- You must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
- Status as a U.S. Person, as this role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
- Proficiency with C/C++ and experience with common languages such as Python, Rust, or Haskell.
- Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools.
- Familiarity with standard interfaces including Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, and USB.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, and basic Unix/Linux tools.
- Experience with test equipment like logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and test automation.
- Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, GitHub, and JIRA.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills.
