About the role#
AnaVation is looking for undergraduate students to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program. This ten-week paid program provides exposure to government contracting and professional IT development. You will participate in mentoring, workshops, and project work. While this is a remote internship, the team is based in San Antonio, Texas, allowing for in-person collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Apply cyber security techniques to offensive and defensive missions.
- Create custom software applications from initial idea through development and testing.
- Build technology demonstrations using commercial cloud infrastructures.
- Assess new application ideas and research competitor offerings.
- Develop applications as part of a team.
- Present a prototype to company leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Computer Science major with a graduation date of May 2028.
- Minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-managed, goal-oriented approach to work.
- Experience with group programming projects, Agile processes, or Scrum is preferred.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, NodeJS, or front-end and back-end development is a plus.
- Familiarity with GIT and cloud systems like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is helpful.
- Experience developing software projects as a hobby is valued.
