About the role#
This position supports the Antiracist Research and Policy Center (ARPC) and the Sonia Sanchez Social Justice Scholars (SSSJS) program. You will work directly with the ARPC director to assist with instruction and faculty initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support the ARPC director with the 2026-2027 SSSJS cohort.
- Communicate with scholars to ensure they stay on task and receive support for their assignments.
- Promote the program and its final outputs.
- Coordinate with ARPC faculty affiliates to help share their research and expertise.

- You must be an enrolled student at American University to qualify for this role.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site at the American University campus in Washington, DC.
- The position is part-time, requiring 5 hours per week.
- Compensation is $18.40 per hour.
