About the role#
American Implement offers a Registered Apprenticeship Program for students interested in becoming certified John Deere Service Technicians. This role combines part-time work with a scholarship program to help you earn an associate degree and a Journey Worker's Certification. You will gain hands-on experience while preparing for a career in the agriculture industry.
What you'll do#
You will shadow experienced Service Technicians and receive on-the-job training. Your work involves handling the latest agriculture equipment and technology. As part of the program, you will attend specified technical college programs at institutions like Garden City Community College, Southeast Community College, or Northwest Kansas Technical College.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 16 years old and currently in high school, or you are a recent high school graduate.
- You have an interest in pursuing formal training for the agriculture industry.
- You are able to stand, walk, and lift 75 lbs without assistance.
- You can handle physical tasks like bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

This position is located in Garden City, Kansas. The role is on-site and part-time. This is a paid apprenticeship.
