About the role#
This internship focuses on measuring, analyzing, and improving component preparation activities for production. You will work on-site at the La Pocatiere facility to establish performance standards that support production planning and future logistics projects. You will spend significant time on the floor to understand daily operations and identify practical improvements.
What you'll do#
- Observe logistics teams on the floor and conduct time studies for picking activities.
- Analyze preparation times based on specific components, product families, and order types.
- Build a database of standard times and performance indicators.
- Identify performance gaps, time losses, and areas for improvement.
- Recommend changes to work methods, logistics flows, and operational organization.
- Work with the Methods, Logistics, and Planning teams to turn your data into concrete actions.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong interest in logistics, continuous improvement, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Ability to analyze data and structure clear recommendations.
- Strong sense of autonomy, rigor, and curiosity.
- Comfortable working with diverse teams in both office and shop floor environments.
- Knowledge of Power BI, statistical tools, or simulation software is an asset.

- Location: La Pocatiere, Quebec, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site, with occasional travel to the Saint-Francois warehouse.
- Type: Full-time internship.
- Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
