About the role#
This is a paid, part-time internship based in Folsom, California. You will work under the supervision of a CFP® to gain experience in investment advisory and wealth planning. The program runs during the summer of 2027, with a hybrid work schedule of approximately 25 hours per week between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
What you'll do#
- Cross train with various departments to understand the firm business model.
- Collaborate with an Associate Advisor to build job skills.
- Help create and implement financial plans for clients.
- Assist the Client Service Team with daily operations.
- Conduct research and complete tasks related to casework.
- Respond to client questions regarding financial planning.
- Shadow Financial Advisors during client appointments.
- Attend company workshops, seminars, and other events.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS or BA in Finance, Economics, Financial Planning, or a related field.
- Active pursuit of the CFP® designation.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Capability to learn office systems and financial software.
