About the role#
This internship provides experience within the Internal Auditing Department at Allison Transmission during the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Indianapolis on a full-time basis.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls on behalf of management.
- Analyze and verify the accuracy of transactions, management documents, records, reports, and methods.
- Evaluate accuracy and compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws, or regulations.
- Conduct and document audit assignments following the IIA Global Internal Audit Standards.
- Prepare high quality workpapers that document tests performed, results, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Assist with international audit testing and related documentation.
- Establish relationships with key business partners.
- Conduct special reviews and projects as directed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a related business field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- A desire to learn about internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Prior internal audit experience is not required.
