About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks, from May 24th to August 13th, 2027. This role is based on-site at the Securian campus in St. Paul, Minnesota. You will assist the Risk Management Product Department with projects involving vehicle insurance tracking, real estate insurance tracking, and financial recovery solutions.
What you'll do#
- Design and build a Risk Management Product Knowledge Hub using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Inventory all existing Risk Management reports and identify key metrics to create a standardized monthly summary.
- Evaluate current standard and non-standard Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all products and clients.
- Define reporting processes and metric availability.
- Assess clients across all services to align current states with newly defined product package options.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program as a Junior or Senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn internal systems.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A track record of dependability, reliability, and achievement.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while respecting confidential information.
- Experience with content management or sales enablement is preferred.
